Can you tell me what's wrong / quote a repair over the phone?

No — and we won't guess. Office personnel must never guess specific mechanical failures or offer blind repair pricing quotes over the phone before a certified professional runs a complete physical field evaluation. We'll triage urgency, book the right visit, and give you honest options on-site.

How fast can you get to me?

Call (317) 207-9304. Live CSRs answer when available; when lines are full or it's after hours, Tucker (Avoca) picks up, can book maintenance and demand service in ServiceTitan, or transfer you — zero voicemails. We'll give a real arrival window (not a minute-by-minute promise) and text a tech photo + ETA before we knock. On-call emergency technician dispatch until 11:00 PM nightly. Requests after 11:00 PM are prioritized at the front of the next morning's service queue. No absolute same-day guarantee for the general public; Liftoff to Comfort members receive high-priority dispatch windows.

What brands of equipment do you service?

We're a factory-authorized Daikin Comfort Pro (Elite Certified), install-active with Mitsubishi Electric ductless and Honeywell Home controls, and we service every major brand: Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Honeywell Home, Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Bryant, Rheem, Ruud, Goodman, American Standard and more.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. LCS Heating and Cooling, LLC has been an active Indiana LLC since June 27, 2005 — fully bonded, with commercial general liability and workers' compensation. We are an ACCA corporate member with ACCA Quality Certifications and ENERGY STAR / ACCA Quality Assured standing (verified current May 11, 2026). 100% of active W-2 field staff hold EPA Section 608 Universal cards. Techs are background-checked and carry photo ID — you'll get a tech photo and ETA texted before arrival. Marion County mechanical license numbers are available on request.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. System upgrade installations are available with monthly payments based on approved credit through independent lending partners. Terms, conditions, and explicit APR values apply. Example payment math on this site is illustrative until preferred finance platforms and display amounts are confirmed — these are unsecured consumer installment options, not store credit cards.

What does Membership include?

Liftoff to Comfort has two paths. Discovery Path ($16.99/mo): two seasonal precision calibrations annually; diagnostic fee $79 (vs $129); waived with any repair over $299 during business hours; after-hours $159 (vs $189); Core Path 15% off diagnostic repairs and premium IAQ accessories; 10% off multi-zone and solar attic fans. Horizon Path ($32.99/mo): two seasonal calibrations; business-hours diagnostic 100% waived with any authorized repair; after-hours $159 (vs $189); Elite Path 20% off repairs and premium IAQ accessories; same 10% specialty savings; plus a $150 annual credit toward a new system (up to $1,050 over 7 years) and a choice of one premium add-on service each year.

Do you have a program for realtors?

Yes. Realtors can forward inspection reports for rapid triage, use title-company payments out of closing, and gift buyers a 1-Year Discovery Path membership for $100 (retail $203.88) with a closing-table certificate. Details at For Realtors.

Do you reward customer referrals?

Yes. When you refer family, neighbors, or friends, our internal tracking program provides loyalty credits or direct incentive rewards once the new customer's repair or replacement project is verified. Ask us when you send a referral — amounts are confirmed with our team, not published as a rate card.

How do you train your technicians?

Above standard contractor setups: technicians complete the 80-hour Go Time Installation Course in Texas and 40-hour Ultimate Tech Academy residencies in Arkansas (heat pump calibration, electrical, advanced refrigeration). Field Operations Manager Travis holds NCI certifications in airflow and ductwork. Departments spend about 2 hours per week off the road in training. A warehouse training space finishes by end of 2026 with curriculum launching January 2027. Details on Meet the Team.

Does LCS have a podcast or national speaking presence?

Yes. Co-founder Renee Lucas hosts the Lasting Business Solutions Podcast on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts, and speaks at Service World Expo and the ACCA National Conference. Travis Lucas serves as an ACCA National Conference panel expert on field execution and install quality. See Press & Media for links.

Does LCS support local youth sports and community causes?

Yes. We actively sponsor youth little league organizations, local athletic clubs, and community wellness programs across Fishers, McCordsville, Lawrence, and Northeast Indianapolis. We keep precise giving dollars and crisis-assistance details private to protect recipient dignity — see In the Community.

Do you offer free estimates or second opinions?

Yes. Replacement and IAQ estimates are free. We also provide complimentary professional second opinions on verified major component condemnations (for example, a cracked heat exchanger) when you share a competitor's physical invoice — start at Free Second Opinion.

How long has LCS been in business?

LCS Heating and Cooling was founded in 2005 by Travis and Renee Lucas right here in Indianapolis. We're family-owned, locally operated, and proudly independent.

Do you offer military, senior, or first-responder discounts?

Yes. We offer discounts for military, senior, and first-responder households — just mention it when you book.

Are phone calls recorded?

Incoming customer service calls and outbound dispatch confirmations on tracking lines are recorded for quality control, legal validation, and non-commissioned technician training verification.

Who is Tucker on the phone?

Tucker is our Avoca digital assistant — synced with ServiceTitan. Tucker handles overflow and after-hours calls, schedules maintenance tune-ups and demand service, takes messages, or transfers you to office staff (zero voicemails). Quote capacity for new equipment, duct cleaning, and indoor air quality evaluations is expanding; Tucker still does not book final equipment installations or actual duct cleaning jobs onto live boards without a human coordinator.

Why is your replacement estimate higher than another quote?

I completely understand that price is a significant factor. When comparing estimates, it is critical to look at the exact engineering standards involved. Quotes often differ in the specific equipment being quoted (brand, stage, and efficiency tier), in how long the parts and labor warranties run, and in which comfort options are included — things like air cleaners, humidifiers, and duct cleaning. Our options include fully certified W-2 technicians rather than sub-contractors, an official mechanical permit pulled with the city where required, comprehensive static pressure testing to ensure your ductwork can handle the air, and a direct local warranty backed by a company that has been here since 2005. We build for long-term operational efficiency, not just the lowest immediate cost.

How do you present equipment options?

After discovery (including static pressure testing and Manual J when sizing a replacement), we present structured Good / Better / Best tiers: Single-Stage Standard, Multi-Stage High-Efficiency, and Variable-Capacity Elite Inverter with Daikin technology — plus monthly payment examples alongside cash totals. Mid-to-high efficiency installs carry 12-year LCS labor (matching Daikin 12-year parts on qualifying systems); entry-level carries 6-year labor. Non-commissioned technicians; you choose. That's The Architecture Promise — you remain the architect of your comfort design.

Do you handle commercial HVAC?

We specialize in residential and light commercial typically 5–10 tons (retail, storefronts, light offices). We do not take on industrial chillers, multi-ton plant engineering, plan-and-spec duct manufacturing, or standard roofing/siding.

Why is a cracked heat exchanger considered an immediate safety emergency?

The heat exchanger handles the clean combustion process. If the metal cracks or warps, toxic flue gases (including carbon monoxide) can leak directly into your home’s breathing air. We use specialized internal video scopes to visually document cracks for absolute clarity.

What makes the Daikin Fit system different from a standard AC unit?

Standard units are loud, bulky, and blast completely on or off. The Daikin Fit features a compact side-discharge design that fits tight property lines and uses smart inverter technology to scale its power draw subtly, maintaining perfect temperatures while dropping energy bills.

How does a whole-house humidifier improve winter comfort?

Cold winter air cannot hold moisture. When your furnace runs, it dries out your home, causing static shocks, dry skin, and wood floor shrinkage. A whole-house bypass humidifier infuses clean moisture directly into your airflow, making the air feel warmer at lower thermostat settings.

What causes an indoor HVAC coil to freeze into a block of ice?

Ice build-up stems from air starvation (a completely choked air filter or blocked returns) or low refrigerant levels due to a system leak. Turn the system to 'Fan Only' immediately to thaw, and call for a technician to prevent compressor damage.

Should I replace my system if it uses old R-22 refrigerant?

Yes. R-22 refrigerant has been phased out completely due to environmental mandates. Sourcing recycled R-22 for a repair is exceptionally costly. Upgrading to a modern, eco-friendly system provides immediate efficiency advantages and long-term security.
